Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation in Delhi is a sanctuary and Dog Rehabilitation Center which provides a lifelong home to old, Injured, abandoned, orphaned, blind, lame, paralyzed and seriously ill dogs and cats.

At its New Delhi shelter, Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation gives permanent refuge to more than a hundred stray and destitute animals. Many of them are elderly, disabled, paralyzed or suffering from neurological and spinal disorders-animals who cannot survive on the streets and need constant medical care, safety and affection to live with dignity.

The foundation was born from the vision of Late Kalyani Ghosh, whose heart was deeply moved by the pain and cruelty faced by stray animals. In the later years of her life, she chose to dedicate herself entirely to their rescue, care and well-being.

Since its establishment in February 2010, the foundation has carried out extensive animal welfare work. This includes rehabilitating animals with spinal and orthopedic injuries, caring for senior and mentally traumatized pets, conducting sterilization and vaccination drives for strays, and offering free treatment and vaccinations for Indian pets and community animals in nearby villages.

At its core, the foundation stands for one simple belief, every animal deserves care, respect and a safe place to call home.
